A United Future Organization az acid jazz és nu jazz mozgalmak emblematikus zenekara. Öt nagylemezükkel, számos kislemezükkel és remixalbumaikkal igazán magasra tették a lécet. Az utóbbi években a zenekart hibernálták, a tagok inkább szólóprojektjeikre koncentrálnak és dj-ként járják a világot. Európába viszonylag ritkán vetődnek, így nagy szerencse, hogy ezúttal Budapestet is érinti Raphael Sebbag európai turnéja.

Standby for an epic “Night at the Jazz Rooms” Special @ The Jazz Place, Brighton, UK on Saturday May 26th as we welcome direct from Tokyo DJ Raphael Sebbag from the legendary United Future Organisation.
United Future Organization were formed in 1990 as a production team engaging in staging fashion, art and club promotions, events and radio shows.
Comprised of Tokyo club DJs Tadashi Yabe, Toshio Matsuura, and French expatriate Raphael Sebbag, U.F.O soon became the driving force in Tokyo’s underground club scene.
Through their collaboration with artists and DJs both in Japan and globally, they became a force to be reckoned with their clever mix of Jazz, Latin, Hip-Hop and Electronica.
U.F.O’s productions have always been experimental, cutting edge and trend setting and the band played an integral part in breaking the acid jazz scene in the early nineties influencing acts such as Jamiroquai, The Brand New Heavies, US3 and Galliano among others.
Releasing a plethora of club hits on Talkin Loud/Brownswood including “My Baby Loves Jazz”, “The Loud Minority”, “Flying Saucer” and “Cosmic Gypsy”, the distinctive U.F.O sound ignited dance floors all over the world gaining them a strong following and support from names such as: Francois K, Masters At Work, Dimitri from Paris and Gilles Peterson.
The U.F.O sound became a staple diet for Brighton Jazz Rooms and Jazz Bop sessions throughout the 90s and beyond and the story will come full circle as Rapael Sebbag takes to the decks at the Jazz Rooms. Known for his killer productions, compilations and Dj sets this all round style guru is not to be missed!!
Support comes from Jazz Rooms resident Russ Dewbury and further special guest Tyni. Expect a floor shaking mix of Jazz, Latin, Funk, Hip Hop and Soul......come to dance!

"マエストロふたりによる贅沢な“音”のアートフォームの楽しみカタを"
この国のディープ・ハウスとクラブ・ジャズ、このふたつの音楽シーンをなにもないところから、その黎明期から作り出し、定着させてきたふたりの音のマエス トロたち――NORIとYABE TADASHIが、リキッドルーム2階、新たに誕生したニュー・ギャラリー・スペース《KATA》にて共演する。日時は5月17日、平日木曜の夕方～夜と いうリラックスした時間帯。今回は《KATA》とともにはじまるジェスパー・ヘインズの写真展「ニューヨーク・ダークルーム」とともに送る16日連続のイ ンスタレーションのひとつとして開催される。彼らのセレクトによる音楽、そしてサウンド・コントロールは空間を形作るアートフォーム、いわばアート・イン スタレーションの域にまで高められたものだ。となりのTime Out Cafe & Dinerとの行き来もしつつ、音楽、ドリンク、そして食事も楽しめる。平日夜の新しい音楽の楽しみ“方”を提示する〈KATA MIX〉。ぜひともお楽しみください。
